PKK's insurgency Explainer (School Assignment) 2023

PKK's insurgency is an explainer that shines light on the conflict between the Kurdish working part, PKK, and Turkey. 

Solution

The concept of this animation is to consistently use the same shapes throughout the entire sequence. The geographic areals of the countries presented at the beginning form the foundation for these shapes. They are then arranged in various compositions to create visual clues and images that aid in understanding the conflict and its parts. This animation technique ensures a dynamic flow throughout the entire sequence. Adding a drop shadow and paper texture to each shape enhances the illusion of shapes being manipulated and arranged on top of each other. The colorpalette is earthy and combined with a green-ish contrasting color that is used for informative parts of text throughout the explainer.
